DESIGN REVIEW: All White Pepsi

I've always believed that ideas rule the world, thus i'm also a firm believer in self initiated briefs. Heres a project that embodies those ideals..a new design concept for the pepsi brand.

The designer Alejo Malia, took quite a bold approach in seeking to represent the beverage giant with an all white logo and custom typeface. The colour palette is a bit dull and probably not as striking as the current trend but nonetheless the idea is noteworthy.

The good part of 'whiting out' the brand is that it allows for a broader spectrum of design applications in terms of colour and maybe style without limiting it to the original red and blue. Even though, i'm not too sure the advertising for pepsi was ever limited, but i do see the point the designer is trying to make.

Aside from the somewhat oversimplified and somewhat dull applications, the potential the idea presents is in my opinion (as always) worthy of exploring, so pepsi, look into it.
